Iceland Air place big order

National flag carrier Iceland Air has awarded MAC Interiors (formerly MacCarthy Aviation Holdings Ltd) a significant contract to provide lavatory upgrade kits for two B737- 800 and one B737-700 aircraft.

The contract is to provide upgrade kits for six economy and three business class lavatories. The lavatory kits designed, manufactured and certified by MAC Interiors include; Corian worktop, stainless steel basin, faucet, LED floor lighting, lightweight plastic mirror with LED backlighting, plus many more features across both business and economy class lavatories.

Mark Radford Sales & Marketing Director commented, “We are delighted to work with Icelandair on this program, which further demonstrates our expertise in this growing market for lavatory refurbishment work especially on B737 aircraft. This short flow programme further demonstrates our flexibility and will utilise designs currently in place saving time and money for the customer ensuring they receive the kits with years of continued service ahead of them. We are seeing more and more work, especially B737 and B767 coming through our factory for galley and lavatory uplift and 2014 looks to be no different.”

All aircrafts are currently under lease to carrier Air Niugini
